Truth about Canine Ear Infections
Canine ear infections are a common problem for dog owners. Also for me because BooBoo’s is being this disease. The infection can occur in the external ear canal and spread to the middle ear. Dogs with hairy or pendulous ears commonly suffer infections.

Causes
The most common cause for canine ear infections is bacteria. Your dog may also get an infection if you don’t dry his ears properly after he takes a bath or goes swimming. Other common causes include ear wax buildup, hair buildup, and foreign objects. An infestation of ear mites can also cause an ear infection.
Symptoms
Canine ear infections are uncomfortable, so your dog will frequently scratch or rub his ears. He will also shake his head a lot or tilt it to the side. You may notice that his ears produce a discharge accompanied by an odor. It is not uncommon for your dog’s ears to become inflamed and turn red.
Treatment
If left untreated, canine ear infections can cause serious damage to your dog. You will be happy to know that these infections are usually very easy to treat. If it is caused by a foreign object, then your dog will likely be sedated while the vet removes it. Medication will also be prescribed to get rid of the infection. You will also need to clean your dog’s ears on a daily basis for a few weeks. It’s also necessary to make sure no water gets into your dog’s ears until the infection clears up.
Prevention
There are a few things you can do to prevent canine ear infections. This is especially important if your dog has pendulous or hairy ears. You should make sure to dry your dog’s ears thoroughly after he takes a bath or goes swimming. It’s also a good idea to clean his ears at least once a week.
BooBoo’s Childhood
On the first day when I bring her to my house. I take her to the cage to sleep at there. But, she always bark when i put her in there. So, my dad brings her into the house. By the way, it’s good because she won’t get bite by mosquito.
But, sometimes she pees in the house and my dad won’t let her pee. So, he gets her outside the house.
I feel bad beacuse I think she doesn’t want to pee in the house. Right? I usually bring her to swimming pool. But she doesn’t want to swim in the pool. So I push her down. She swims for 1 hour. I am very surprised.
But right now, she doesn’t swim anymore because of her disease. I feel bored a little when I don’t see her swim anymore.

Thinking about buying a dog?
Dogs are the best friends. Why not try to have one? … Here are some tips about buying a dog.

Thinking about buying a dog?
So you’ve decided to purchase a dog. Owning a dog can be the beginning of years of happiness as the special bond between humans and canines exceeds even the greatest of expectations. However, to ensure the best relationship with your dog, you must be prepared for some important responsibilities. Keep the following questions in mind as we go along.
- Have I found the right breed to fit into my lifestyle and home?
- Will you have enough time to spend training, grooming and exercising a dog?
- Am I willing to spend the resources to ensure the best future for a dog?
- Am I going to spend love to those dogs?
Your dog and your neighbors
All dog owners must be aware of their responsibilities to their neighbors, both those who live in the area immediately around their residence and their neighbors in the broader sense of the community as a whole. Dogs, for all the pleasure they are, can be a nuisance to your neighbors if not trained. Remember, excessive barking can be annoying. And, always keep your dog on a leash or inside a fenced yard when exercising.
Remember to pick up after your dog. Forestall problems for yourself and your dog and all dog lovers by being a good neighbor.
Caring for your dog
All dogs must be cared for daily. Why? Because they need love from their owner. This means proper diet, exercise, grooming and veterinary attention. There are many excellent guides on all facets of dog care.

When to See the Vet?

- Vomiting & Diarrhea
Dogs love to get into things, and they will often eat bugs, grass, and other objects found in the yard and around the house that might upset their stomachs. This being the case, the occasional vomiting or diarrhea is not usually a big deal. However, if the vomiting or diarrhea last for more than 24 hours, if there is blood present in the vomit or stool, or if it is accompanied by lethargy.
- Change in Potty Habits
If your dog is urinating more or less frequently, accompanied by increased or decreased thirst, or if he is exhibiting changes in already consistent house training, like urinating in the house, this might be cause for concern.
- Lack of Appetite
A healthy appetite is a strong indicator of a healthy dog, so if your dog has suddenly lost interest in eating, call your vet.
- Prolonged Coughing
Coughing, especially in dogs with pushed-in faces like bull dogs, pugs, and boxers (who are already more sensitive to respiratory upset) can be a sign of various health conditions including heart disease, heartworms, lung disease, and kennel cough. See the vet right away, especially if the cough is accompanied by sneezing, and discharge from the eyes, ears, or nose.
- Weight Loss
If your dog is losing weight and you have not made any changes to his diet or exercise routine, see your vet. Weight loss is an indicator of many serious health issues such as anemia, parasites, and scores of other problems.
- Pale Gums and/or Tongue
If your dog’s gums or tongue lose their pink hue, take your dog to the vet immediately. Whitening gums and tongue are a sign of shock, indicating that your dog must be treated right away.

BooBoo’s Snacks
We brought the snacks from the clinic. BooBoo usually eats the Denta Fresh Stix. It’s a healthy stix that helps BooBoo’s teeth white. I usually give her after taking a bath.

Another snack is a biscuit. It’s a pack of dog’s biscuit[ not person ]. This snack helps her to have strong fur. I usually gives her after I take her to walk outside the house.
It’s not necessary to give her a snack like I give. I think it is important to give because dogs can feel that they have their boss to take care them.
